Our Team

About the Professionals
The principal, Anne Flanagan, began her career as a Professor of Biotechnology at the University of Alberta, where she became intrigued with patenting. After working for an international law firm, followed by a boutique intellectual property law firm , she set out on her own with Alliance Patents, where she melded her research expertise with her patenting knowledge. More recently, her daughter Keira Flanagan, a Mechanical Engineer, joined the firm as an engineering consultant. She brings with her a strength in design and prototyping, having worked in medical imaging device design and manufacturing, as well as advanced motion simulator design and manufacturing. Outside of work, both Anne and Keira are avid cyclists and skiers.
